Services

Northern Film Orchestra provides complete 'buy-out' recording packages for film scores, TV shows, video games, classical, contemporary, library music, sample libraries & modern music across all genres.  

Sessions are recorded in one of our two acoustically brilliant halls in Manchester, England. Offering both custom and shared sessions, we've recorded music for some of the biggest names on the planet, as well as independent composers discovering the magic of recording with real musicians for the first time.

How It Works...

Our team of experienced professionals are here to help you at every step.

Booking a Session

Get in touch and Jack our director will discuss ensemble & venue options to best suite your project. Pick a date and book in your session.

Recording

Join the recording session in-person or remotely, communicate to direct the session in your vision. Our score reader will be on hand to support. Our technical team headed by NFO director Simeon will ensure the performance is captured brilliantly.

Pre-Production

Upload your recording materials, our team will review your scores and prepare the ProTools project. Attend pre-production meetings with our Music Director Melvin to discuss the creative aspects of your music.

File Delivery

Download your multitrack or take advantage of our mixing and mastering services.

Working again this year with the NFO confirmed my excellent impression from the first experience. The coordination and workflow of the team before, during, and after the recording session were smooth and efficient. Communication is always clear, and any musical or technical intention is quickly understood and applied accurately.

The whole point of this process is to hear your music performed by real players, with genuine human expression. In this regard, the NFO absolutely delivers. Nothing beats hearing your music come to life through their performance!
